Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boy with Shell by Collier Schorr was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in August 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 942.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Collier Schorr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Collage (Marie) in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,051.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boy with Shell von Collier Schorr wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 942,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Collier Schorr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Collage (Marie) im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.051,16).
