A top price for Colin Hayes - as previously expected
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Landscape - South Crete by Colin Hayes. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,826.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscape - South Crete is the most expensive artwork by Colin Hayes that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape - South Crete von Colin Hayes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.826,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Landscape - South Crete das teuerste Kunstwerk von Colin Hayes, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
