Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,379.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Hayes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape - South Crete, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,826.02).
