Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work White Strand, Connemara by Colin Gibson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,151.52). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Gibson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Samson & Goliath, East Belfast, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,657.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Strand, Connemara von Colin Gibson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.151,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Gibson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Samson & Goliath, East Belfast beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.657,36) versteigert wurde.
