Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Grapes, Cherries, Peaches And A Fig In A Porcelain Bowl Resting On A Ledge Before A Stone Niche by Coenraet Roepel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 22,800.00 (€ 16,863.91). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Coenraet Roepel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Violets, pink and white roses, carnations, tulips, blue morning glory, a peony, a hyacinth and various other flowers in a vase, on a stone ledge with a pupa and a snail, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 61,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Grapes, Cherries, Peaches And A Fig In A Porcelain Bowl Resting On A Ledge Before A Stone Niche von Coenraet Roepel im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
