This artwork by Clive Barker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2020. In the Modern British Art auction, the work Emperor Dalek sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,343.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clive Barker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coke with Two Straws in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,348.67).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clive Barker erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British Art wurde die Arbeit Emperor Dalek für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.343,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clive Barker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coke with Two Straws im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.348,67).
