Despite a disappointment, a good price for Clinton Loveridge
In September 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Moon Over the Skating Pond by Clinton Loveridge for USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,985.57). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Moon Over the Skating Pond is the most expensive artwork by Clinton Loveridge that we have observed at auction so far.
