The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Ship At Sea) is the most expensive artwork by Clifford Warren Ashley that we have observed at auctions so far.
