Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Claude Venard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Modern Art auction, the work Vue De Montmartre - 1957 sold for EUR 22,304.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Venard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La partie de cartes, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 46,854.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Venard erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Vue De Montmartre - 1957 für EUR 22.304,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Venard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La partie de cartes beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 46.854,46) versteigert wurde.
