This artwork by Claude Venard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Modern Art auction, the work L'Entrée Du Port sold for EUR 21,648.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Venard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La partie de cartes, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 46,854.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Venard erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit L'Entrée Du Port für EUR 21.648,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Venard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La partie de cartes beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 46.854,46) versteigert wurde.
