Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Paysage à Villez by Claude Monet was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 8,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 8,890,000.00 (€ 1,040,928.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Paysage à Villez von Claude Monet kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 8.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 8.890.000,00 (€ 1.040.928,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
