Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Seine près de Giverny by Claude Monet was sold in the The Alan and Simone Hartman CollectionThe Inaugural Sale auction at Bonhams in New York in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,352,500.00 (€ 5,742,632.44). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Monet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meules in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 110,747,000.00 (€ 99,333,572.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Seine près de Giverny von Claude Monet wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Alan and Simone Hartman CollectionThe Inaugural Sale bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.352.500,00 (€ 5.742.632,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Monet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meules im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.747.000,00 (€ 99.333.572,52).
