Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ex-Voto Cible Coeurs by Claude Gilli was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 12,500.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Gilli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ex Voto (Johny Hallyday) - 1961 in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 74,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ex-Voto Cible Coeurs von Claude Gilli im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 12.500,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Gilli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ex Voto (Johny Hallyday) - 1961 im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.100,00.
