Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Feeding time by Claude Cardon. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,660.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Cardon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calves and poultry by a farm in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,757.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Feeding time von Claude Cardon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.660,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Cardon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calves and poultry by a farm im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.757,64).
