Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cows grazing by a river bank by Claude Cardon was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2009. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 567.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Cardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calves and poultry by a farm in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,757.64).
