Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Lucie and kid, vers 1926 by Claude Cahun. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 34,600.00 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Claude Cahun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self-Observation, Aveux non avenus (planche I), 1929-1930 in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 223,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lucie and kid, vers 1926 von Claude Cahun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 34.600,00 und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Cahun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self-Observation, Aveux non avenus (planche I), 1929-1930 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 223.500,00.
