Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dogana And The Church Of Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice by Clarkson Stanfield was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,941.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarkson Stanfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Castle Cornet, Guernsey in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,788.20).

Die Arbeit The Dogana And The Church Of Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice von Clarkson Stanfield wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.941,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
