Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures by the sea with shipping in the distance by Clarkson Stanfield for GBP 250.00 (€ 302.27). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarkson Stanfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Castle Cornet, Guernsey in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,788.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures by the sea with shipping in the distance von Clarkson Stanfield für GBP 250,00 (€ 302,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarkson Stanfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Castle Cornet, Guernsey im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 53.788,20).
