This artwork by Clarkson Stanfield achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2012. In the Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A hulk with other shipping in the Medway sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,145.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clarkson Stanfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Castle Cornet, Guernsey in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,788.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarkson Stanfield erzielte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit A hulk with other shipping in the Medway für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.145,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clarkson Stanfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Castle Cornet, Guernsey im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 53.788,20).
