Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Clouds, Contra Costa County by Clark Hobart was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,241.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clark Hobart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Garden Party in August last year with an auction result of USD 15,300.00 (€ 15,201.19).
