Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Afternoon Outing by Clark Hobart for USD 510.00 (€ 481.04). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clark Hobart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Party in August last year with an auction result of USD 15,300.00 (€ 15,201.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Afternoon Outing von Clark Hobart für USD 510,00 (€ 481,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clark Hobart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Party im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 15.201,19).
