Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Arctic Night by Clarence Gagnon. It changed hands for a price of CAD 14,400.00 (€ 11,045.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Gagnon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Malo From The Cliffs Of Saint-Briac in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 433,750.00 (€ 335,697.83).
