Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Ferme De St. Antoine (Baie St. Paul, Vers 1923) by Clarence Gagnon was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The auction ended at the price of CAD 30,000.00 (€ 23,443.87), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of CAD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Gagnon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Malo From The Cliffs Of Saint-Briac in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 433,750.00 (€ 335,697.83).
