Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, half length, seated at a table holding a figurine by Clara Klinghoffer was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2001. The price achieved of GBP 152.75 (€ 256.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clara Klinghoffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl With Plaits in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,440.44).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 152,75 (€ 256,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clara Klinghoffer erzielen.
