In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire, which included the work Two studies of Fulmar, St. Kilda and one of a shoreline sanderling by Claire Harkess. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,547.36), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claire Harkess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three studies of pheasant in flight in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,913.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two studies of Fulmar, St. Kilda and one of a shoreline sanderling von Claire Harkess zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.547,36) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claire Harkess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three studies of pheasant in flight im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.913,76).
