Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Beach At Scheveningen With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch by Claes Molenaer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,455.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claes Molenaer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Waterfall In A Mountainous River Landscape in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,471.46).
