Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Madonna Col Bambino E Santa Martire by Ciro Ferri. It changed hands for a price of EUR 18,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ciro Ferri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Virgin Immaculate blessed by God the Father in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,745.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna Col Bambino E Santa Martire von Ciro Ferri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 18.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ciro Ferri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Virgin Immaculate blessed by God the Father im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.745,30).
