The »bidding war« ended at USD 193,000.00 (€ 131,399.78), 29% above the upper estimate. Other works by Cícero Dias have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 262,000.00 (€ 248,059.08) in November 2015 for the work A Difícil Partida.
