Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven Part Arbitrary Colour Collection by Ciaran Lennon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,486.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ciaran Lennon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colour Collection, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 22,100.00 (€ 31,737.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven Part Arbitrary Colour Collection von Ciaran Lennon kam im März 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.486,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ciaran Lennon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colour Collection beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 22.100,00 (€ 31.737,05) versteigert wurde.
