Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lens - Askew by Ciaran Lennon was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,272.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ciaran Lennon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colour Collection in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 31,737.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lens - Askew von Ciaran Lennon wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.272,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ciaran Lennon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colour Collection im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 31.737,05).
