Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES, which included the work Windmills at Kinderdijk by Ciano Siewert. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 896.25. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ciano Siewert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veere, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 1,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windmills at Kinderdijk von Ciano Siewert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 896,25 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ciano Siewert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Veere beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 1.800,00 versteigert wurde.
