Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Church by Ciano Siewert was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ciano Siewert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veere, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 1,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Church von Ciano Siewert im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ciano Siewert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Veere beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 1.800,00 versteigert wurde.
