Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Battle by Chuang Che was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 39,244.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chuang Che - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 156,515.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Battle von Chuang Che kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 39.244,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Chuang Che mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 156.515,04) versteigert wurde.
