Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scenery No.32 by Chuang Che was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 128,000.00 (€ 15,342.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chuang Che achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 156,515.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scenery No.32 von Chuang Che wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 128.000,00 (€ 15.342,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chuang Che erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 156.515,04).
