A top price for Chu Chu
The work On the Equality of Things-Fruit-Clementine by Chu Chu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,064.97), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes On the Equality of Things-Fruit-Clementine the most expensive artwork by Chu Chu that we have observed at auctions so far.
