Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Peasant girl knitting by Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,480.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish Forum Romanum Set Fra Colosseum (The Forum Romanum From The Colosseum) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 240,500.00 (€ 305,926.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peasant girl knitting von Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.480,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish Forum Romanum Set Fra Colosseum (The Forum Romanum From The Colosseum) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 240.500,00 (€ 305.926,51).
