In May 2019 Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Vornehme Gesellschaft beim Brettspiel by Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 11,160.00. Admittedly, works by Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elegant company eating and drinking on a terrace, a landscape beyond in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 83,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vornehme Gesellschaft beim Brettspiel von Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 11.160,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christoffel Jacobsz. van der Laemen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elegant company eating and drinking on a terrace, a landscape beyond im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 83.650,00.
