Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Musician by Christian Krohg was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,283.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Krohg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Norwegian leif Eriksson Oppdager Amerika (Leif Eriksson Discovers America) in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 249,603.10).

Die Arbeit The Musician von Christian Krohg kam im April 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.283,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Krohg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Norwegian leif Eriksson Oppdager Amerika (Leif Eriksson Discovers America) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 249.603,10).
