Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Christian Boltanski was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,520.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Boltanski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monument (Odessa) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 158,730.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Christian Boltanski wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.520,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Boltanski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monument (Odessa) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 158.730,16).
