Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Fête du Pourim by Christian Boltanski was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 65,520.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Boltanski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monument (Odessa), which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 138,000.00 (€ 158,730.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Fête du Pourim von Christian Boltanski wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 65.520,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Christian Boltanski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monument (Odessa) beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 138.000,00 (€ 158.730,16) versteigert wurde.
