Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Bonhams in Paris held the auction Jean Cocteaul'Orphée moderne, which included the work Projet de décor pour la Belle endormie by Christian Bérard. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 892.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Bérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suite de quatre toiles montées en paravent pour "La Jeune Fille endormie" in April this year with an auction result of EUR 119,700.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Jean Cocteaul'Orphée moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Projet de décor pour la Belle endormie von Christian Bérard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 892,50 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Bérard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suite de quatre toiles montées en paravent pour "La Jeune Fille endormie" im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 119.700,00.
