In June this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Paintings, drawings and icons, which included the work Portrait of Marie Magdalene Petersen, née Hellemann, the artist's grandmother by Christen Købke. The result of DKK 30,000.00 (€ 4,027.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of DKK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christen Købke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Luftstudie. Rødlig aftenhimmel med tunge sortgra skyer (Air study. Reddish evening sky with heavy Black-Grey Clouds) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 70,100.00 (€ 89,170.26).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Paintings, drawings and icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Marie Magdalene Petersen, née Hellemann, the artist's grandmother von Christen Købke zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von DKK 30.000,00 (€ 4.027,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christen Købke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Luftstudie. Rødlig aftenhimmel med tunge sortgra skyer (Air study. Reddish evening sky with heavy Black-Grey Clouds) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 70.100,00 (€ 89.170,26).
