Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chris von Wangenheim could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection auction, the work Woman with Chained Man, 1970s changed hands for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,616.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris von Wangenheim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lisa Taylor, Publicité pour Christian Dior, 1976 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 23,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris von Wangenheim konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection wechselte die Arbeit Woman with Chained Man, 1970s für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.616,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris von Wangenheim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lisa Taylor, Publicité pour Christian Dior, 1976 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.750,00.
