This artwork by Chou Hsi-Ting achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Verdant Mountain sold for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 55,496.56) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chou Hsi-Ting; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pine Mountain and Waterfall sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 83,392.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chou Hsi-Ting erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Verdant Mountain für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 55.496,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chou Hsi-Ting; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pine Mountain and Waterfall im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 83.392,40).
