Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snowy Mountain by Chou Hsi-Ting was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,545.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chou Hsi-Ting - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pine Mountain and Waterfall, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 83,392.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Snowy Mountain von Chou Hsi-Ting wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.545,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chou Hsi-Ting mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pine Mountain and Waterfall beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 83.392,40) versteigert wurde.
