This artwork by Chloe Piene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2014. In the Art Contemporain auction, the work Untitled (Cp#5, Long Finger) sold for EUR 3,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chloe Piene; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Demure sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,257.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chloe Piene erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Cp#5, Long Finger) für EUR 3.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chloe Piene; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Demure im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.257,99).
