A top price for Chittrovanu Mazumdar
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Chittrovanu Mazumdar. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69), 21% above the upper estimate. With this result, this work without title is even the most expensive work of art by Chittrovanu Mazumdar that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chittrovanu Mazumdar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.771,69) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist dieses Werk ohne Titel sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chittrovanu Mazumdar, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
