The work Kali by Chittrovanu Mazumdar was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in May 2006. It achieved a price of USD 54,000.00 (€ 42,079.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chittrovanu Mazumdar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).
