In the The Cox Collection: The Story of Impressionism, Evening Sale auction, the work Geraniums sold for USD 5,790,000.00 (€ 5,129,795.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Childe Hassam; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flags On 57Th Street, Winter 1918 sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of USD 12,328,500.00 (€ 10,110,300.15).
