Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beyond the Window by Chi Hong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,056.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chi Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,004.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beyond the Window von Chi Hong wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.056,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chi Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.004,03) versteigert wurde.
